The Institute normally holds an annual Conference, which is open both members and non-members. The programme is varied from year to year and designed to appeal to a wide range of wood industry professionals, users and specifiers. The location is rotated around the UK and Ireland to ensure regional access and also to support its various branches. They have been held in Newcastle 2003, Birmingham 2004, and in 2005 - the Institute’s Jubilee Year - it was held at Carpenters’ Hall in London. In 2006 the conference was held in Oxford, and in 2007 in Edinburgh. The conference moves to Bath on the 18th and 19th September 2008.
